Right, this winter you have told yourself you will have that perfect, glowing complexion! In order to get that luminosity and brilliance, you need to use products adapted to your skin.

Don’t despair; cosmetic manufacturers have a few tricks up their sleeve to make sure you get the skin of your dreams.

Winter skin beauty from the sea

The aim: drain pores, smooth out and oxygenate your skin

If seaweed is key in many beauty regimes, then there’s a reason for this! These astonishing aquatic contain high concentrations of oligo elements, mineral salts and vitamins – all perfect for giving your skin back its brilliance.

  • Draining your skin should undoubtedly form the first part of your routine. It’s really easy; all you do take a two-week programme of a daily phial of the brown seaweed supplement – wrack – which is ultra purifying. Top this off with a phial of horseradish and you’ll be downing the perfect vitamin cocktail for luminous skin.
  • Smoothing skin out is the next step, in order to get rid of dead skin cells. If you don’t exfoliate regularly this is especially important, and when a little tip from the professionals comes in handy... To smooth out fine lines, make sure to gently massage and work all the muscle in your face. After this, mist a seawater spray over your face; the oligo-elements will give your skin a vitamin boost. This part of your routine is as pleasant as a seaside walk, and will do your skin just as much good.
  • Finally, your skin needs and deserves to be properly oxygenated. Choose creams with natural hormones from seaweed, with nutritious qualities and coupled with mother-of-pearl for that luminous and brilliant complexion. As for micro tension on the face due to stress, you can eliminate this thanks to a new active peptide, argireline, for a botox-type smoothing effect.

Professional tip: To lighten up your eyes area, go for a patch. Ten minutes is enough to unclog the pores of the delicate area eye, and it works as soon as it’s in place. After ten minutes, your delicate eye area will be liberated of trapped impurities.

Winter skin beauty with aromatherapy

The aim: nourish, illuminate and give your skin an anti-ageing treatment

  • Over winter, dull skin is caused by tiredness most of the time, but is also due to lack of oxygenation for urbanites. Treat your skin to some vitamin C, in the form of a serum. This step in your routine is simple and effective. The impact essential oils have on the skin is very targeted, and they never get it wrong.
  • If you are looking for a dewy effect and luminosity, try for acacia oil with its cleansing and toning properties. The pros use essential lemon oil with this too. For optimum, long lasting glow, you’ll get the most of these oils if you use them everyday underneath your day moisturiser. You’ll see the difference quickly: with aromatherapy, not only will your skin look luminous, but your senses will be awakened too. Breathe in the aroma and apply the oils gently, with your face the object of your undivided attention.
  • If you are looking for an anti-ageing effect, opt for moisturisers which are designed to weave a mesh on the surface of the skin and fight against sagging. The result is an immediate smoothing effect, which everyone around you will notice!

Professional tip: For dry skin types, mix 50 ml of argan oil with five drops of essential acacia oil and five drops of lemon oil. For combination skin, replace the argan with jojoba oil. Take a couple of drops of your mixture, warm it in your hands and breathe the aroma in fully before starting your massage.
